Bread & Puppet Theater: CANTASTORIA WORKSHOP!

AVAM is tickled to announce that the infamous Bread & Puppet Theater will be gracing us with their presence on Saturday, February 12th at 2pm.

Bread & Puppet Theater is one of the oldest non-profit, self-supporting theatrical companies in the U.S. – enacting its radical utopian vision in cardboard and cloth for over forty years!

On the first floor of AVAM's Jim Rouse Visionary Center they will
host their one-of-a-kind CANTASTORIA WORKSHOP. Cantastoria is an ancient form of storytelling existing in many cultures, – it combines text, images, movement, and music. In just one hour, the Bread & Puppeteers will teach you an example or two of this very useful form. Then you will know how to make one yourself to agitate for all important causes ranging from saving the world to getting the kids to pick up their clothes.

The workshop is free with museum admission. No pre-registration required. Don't miss it!
