B'more Dance
Our own website brought to light the need for greater online resources surrounding dance in Baltimore. We get all kinds of emails asking about classes, studio space, collaborations, and funding. Powered by an Ignite Grant, I have created a web resource that serves all kinds of dance in dance-making in Baltimore city, beyond just Effervescent's own little nest. The Effervescent Collective hopes to nourish Baltimore city as a playground for dance art and activities. We believe that dance is as just as powerful as music, film, theater, literature, and visual arts in enhancing life in Baltimore city. We hope that providing this information accomplishes the following:
- Makes accessing information dance classes, performance, workshops, and events more streamlined and efficient.
- Displays differences between county and city dance opportunities in order to consider the implications of these differences.
- Encourages greater collaboration between dance and other mediums in Baltimore city.
