Aromatic Non-Sense: dances for smelling

The Effervescent Collective sympathizes with the plight of the sense of smell; it has been neutralized and made polite in the course of modern history. Aromatic (Non)Sense consists of three dances designed to be smelled. It investigates our relationship to the scents of lemon, cilantro, and Old Spice. To read more, start here.

Aromatic (Non)Sense premiered
Thursday, December 3rd and Friday, December 4th at 8 pm
at The 2640 Space/St.John’s Methodist Church at 2640 St. Paul Street.

The evening included work from Laura Grossman, Lynne Price, and Lily Susskind made in collaboration with eight dancers: Jenny Berkowitz, Rachel Boss, Claire Cote, Allison Cohan, Marilyn Mullen, Kait Orr, Lynne Price, and Emile Sorger.
